●作家　artist　: 真島 柊　 Mashima Shu ●タイトル Title : 「境界の午後」　「Afternoon on the border」 ●作品サイズ Artwork Size : 8号変 (31.9×45.5cm) ●支持体・材料 Supports/Materials : キャンバスに油彩　 (Oil on canvas) 額縁は付きません。(A frame is not included.) ※クリックすると拡大画像をご覧いただけます。*Click to enlarge image. ●作家コメント 午後という時間には、明確な始まりも終わりもなく、 光と影は静かに、ゆるやかに移ろい続けている。 ゆっくりと差し込む光は、 朝の喧騒と夜の静寂の狭間を漂い、 壁に染みついた時間の痕や影をやさしく照らす。 この作品では、「壁」と「ドア」というモチーフを用いて、 空間の内と外、過去と現在、現実と記憶の「境界」を描いた。 光に照らされたシミや影は、見過ごされてきた時間の蓄積を物語り、 開かれることのないドアは、向こう側にある何かを静かに示唆している。 「境界の午後」というタイトルには、 明確には捉えきれないけれど、たしかに感じられる、 感情や記憶の気配を映し出す午後の空気を込めた。 ●Artist's Comment In the afternoon, there is no clear beginning or end, and light and shadow quietly and gently shift and change. The gentle light that filters in drifts between the bustle of morning and the stillness of night, softly illuminating the traces of time and shadows imprinted on the walls. In this work, I used the motifs of “walls” and ‘doors’ to depict the “boundaries” between the interior and exterior of space, past and present, and reality and memory. The stains and shadows illuminated by light tell the story of accumulated time that has gone unnoticed, while the door that never opens quietly hints at something beyond.
