●作家　artist　: たかはしびわ Takahashibiwa ●タイトル Title : 「こむよのき arbores post mortem」 ●作品サイズ Artwork Size : F6号 (31.8×41.0cm) ●支持体・材料 Supports/Materials : キャンバスにアクリル、鉛筆 (Acrylic and pencil on canvas) 額縁が付きます。(A frame is included.) ※クリックすると全体画像をご覧いただけます。 *Click to view the full image. ●作家ステートメント ペンギンをメインに描いております。 私にとってギリシア神話の黄金時代は、とても懐かしい夢のようなものです。 誰もが働くこともなく、音楽と詩、自然との交感のなかで遊び暮らしていた時代。 人間は死後どこへ行くのか、既存の宗教の唱えるものも、私が私のためだけに都合よく想像したものも、証明の出来なさ、不確かさでは同列です。 それで、私は死後、黄金時代のような世界で暮らせるという、私だけの信仰を作ることにしました。 死後、存在の位相が変わって、世界が私には黄金時代のようにしか感じられなくなる、というものです。 私の絵は、ペンギンがギリシア神話のニンフやサテュロスのように、永遠の夕暮れの光の中で遊び暮らす、死後の世界の絵です。 人間をペンギンに置き換えて描くのは、存在の位相が変わったことを示し、夕暮ればかりを描くのは、そこが時間を超越した永遠の死後の世界であることを示します。 厳格な画面構成と壁画のようなマチエールの、古代詩のような古臭い絵が理想です。 ●Artist Statement I primarily draw penguins. For me, the Golden Age of Greek mythology is like a nostalgic dream. An era when everyone lived in leisure, immersed in music, poetry, and communion with nature, without the need to work. Where humans go after death—whether it's what existing religions preach or what I conveniently imagine for myself—is equally unverifiable and uncertain. Therefore, I decided to create my own personal faith: that after death, I could live in a world like the Golden Age. That after death, the phase of existence changes, and the world can only feel like the Golden Age to me. My paintings depict a world after death where penguins, like nymphs and satyrs of Greek mythology, play and live amidst the eternal light of twilight. Replacing humans with penguins signifies this altered phase of existence, while depicting only twilight signifies that this is a timeless, eternal afterlife beyond time.
