The concept of "Night sailing journey (Night sea journey)" by Jung is at the root of my work. By depicting "false image" and "reality," "light" and "darkness," "morning" and "night," I ask the question of looking at "life" and "death. Recommended for membership Currently a member of the Dokuritsu Art Association ●店主より 夜になると魂が死に、夢を見ることで魂が浄化され、朝になると生まれ変わるというユングの心理学の概念＜Night sailing journey＞をテーマに制作している。 古くからヨーロッパに伝わる「スグラフィート」と呼ばれる何層も重ねた油絵具を削り出して描画する技法を使い幻想的で神々しい女性を描く。 その作品は、生と死、光と影、実像と虚像の境界で様々な色彩を放ちながら観る者の網膜に感受され心を揺さぶるのである。 ●Comment from the gallery Her work is based on Jung's psychological concept of the "night sailing journey," in which the soul dies at night, is purified through dreaming, and is reborn in the morning. She paints fantastic and divine women using an ancient European technique called "sgraffiti," which involves scraping out multiple layers of oil paint. The works are perceived by the viewer's retinas and move the viewer's heart, emitting various colors at the boundary between life and death, light and shadow, and real and imaginary images.
