●作家　artist　: 苛原 治　Irahara Osamu ●タイトル Title : 「水分神 (みくまりのかみ)」　 ●作品サイズ Artwork Size : P4号 33.3×22.0cm ●支持体・材料 Supports/Materials : 合板、白亜地に油絵具、テンペラ絵具 ●額縁が付きます。(A frame is included.) ※クリックすると全体画像をご覧いただけます。*Click to the full image. ●作品コメント 水分神(みくまりのかみ)とは水に関わる神様のひとつです。 古くから水を守る神として水源や河川に祀られ水に纏わることや五穀豊穣、安産祈願にもご利益があると言われます。　 そんな神様を想像した姿を描いた作品です。 ●ステートメント 私の作品は自分の見た風景やもの、出会った人々を自分が見たい空間に置きかえて画面に表しています。これはなにか写実的でも幻想的でもない自分なりに求めている空間なのかもしれません。これは自分でも考えれば考えるほど悩ましい事柄です。ですが１つだけ言えることはこの自分が求めている空間づくりに適しているのが油絵具とテンペラ絵具の混合技法だということです。まるで自分の思考を重ね合わせるようにして重層された油絵具の色の深みは自分でも美しいと感じてしまいます。 そんな私の思考が重なった作品達を見て頂けたら幸いです。 ●Artist's Statement In my works, I represent the landscapes and things I have seen and people I have met by replacing them with the space I would like to see. This may be the space that I am seeking in my own way, which is neither realistic nor illusory. The more I think about this, the more I am troubled by it. However, one thing I can say is that the technique of mixing oil and tempera paints is suitable for creating the space I am looking for. The depth of the colors of the oil paints, layered as if my thoughts were superimposed on them, is beautiful even to me.
